cross-staff clef

• May 2, 2017 - 06:40

I have a phrase in the upper staff of the piano and I want some notes to be in the lower staff. However, they are high-pitched and need treble clef so they require many additional lines in the lower staff. If I highlight the note where I want the treble clef to fix this problem, the clef appears in the original upper staff. I've found this workaround: Create a new voice with invisible silences, one under the note where I want the treble clef to appear and insert the clef. However, it would be nice that the cross-staff procedure (Shift-Ctrl down arrow) worked also for the treble clef associated to the part of the phrase to move to the other staff.

The problem is that the original content of the lower staff is a whole-note chord that definitely requires a bass clef. As there is no further rhythmical activity in the lower staff, I cannot put a treble clef after the chord unless I create a dummy voice, as I did.

You can also create 2 staves of piano, and in each ,you delete one stave and so, there are indépendant. After you put a bracket. Delete in INSTRUMENT, you have the 2 staves of each Piano , and you delete the lower in the first and the upper in the second
