Is there a way to change the distance between a note and its accidental?

I recently put some music in front of some players and there was a comment that the space between notes and their accidentals was too small and made them hard to read.

I would like to take a look at how changes to this distance improve (or not) readability.

I looked in both style areas just to be sure, and found "accidentals" listed under general, but there was no way to change spacing.

I might like to change their relative size also.
