Complete Loss of Music Playback Feature
So, I was opening up Musescore 2.something and I wanted to listen to my composition before I continued to work on it. I went to click the button to reverse the score to the beginning, but to my surprise it was grayed-out. I was unable to playback the sounds on my score. I attempted to delete the program and re-install the program but to no avail. It is almost like the program is without its soundfonts, even though I cannot find evidence of that being the case. Thank you in advance for your assistance - Chris Powers (MusicMan2015)

What version of MuseScore?
What operating system?
Have you restarted the PC?

You can do an experiment: download and install a new Soundfont https://musescore.org/en/handbook/soundfont
Then check if it is in the Synthesizer

@Shoichi, it will not automatically appear on the list of fonts, but it will be available to add, or am I mistaken?

Correct.
I trust that the Handbook describes correctly how to do it.
