Popping Sound in the 2.1 update in Early May

I recently updated MuseScore a few days ago and the sound would not work. After I finally got the sound to work, there is now this popping sound that occurs every few measures in most of my scores. It does not matter the sound font and whenever I export to WAV. audio the popping is still there so now I can't publish any of my work. My volume levels are normal and I have used the same soundfonts for months now. It started as soon as I updated the software. If anybody knows how to fix this please help.
