Bach Appoggiatura signs
Has anyone got a workaround for entering Bach apoggiatura signs - is indicated in red in this snippet from BWV 622?
I've tried using bracket ends from the symbols palette but they don't look quite right.

Does this work for you? Add a 'modern' appogiatura from the grace notes palette. Slur or tie it to the main note. Make the appogiatura invisible. Move the tie.

Looks good :)
Thanks.
Maybe I should put in a feature request to have this symbol added to 2.0 as it is very common place in Bach's instrumental writing.

I think it would be a rather simple addition, as long as you do not expect any playback effect (I don't think the program could guess the appoggiatura note).
As a work-around, in 2.0 you can make (or have made from someone) an SVG with the graphics and add it to a palette. Palettes now can be saved and shared. True, as palettes stand now, the symbol would need to be repositioned each time. Possibly another feature request: custom placement for custom symbols.

Well I've made one which I am now dragging into 1.2 from the relevant directory.
Here it is if anyone else can use it

Just come across a problem - doing this nerfs playback :(
Works ok if you use a slur, but you currently cannot control slur thickness in 1.2 so in order for the sign to look right a tie has to be used.

Playback of appoggiaturas always had problems in ver. 1.2. In ver. 2.0 things are better (but not perfect yet).
Does the SVG 'trick' work?

Yes but in the end I decided to use conventional appoggiatura signs for the sake of clarity.
