Measure Numbers are too close to the staff, or are in the staff itself

Hello, I've been using Musescore for a few years now, and I've only just got into adjusting sizes and all that, and I've come across a problem. When I generate measure numbers through Style --> Edit General Style --> Numbers, the measure numbers appear inside of the staff. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I've attached a picture of the problem.
