I do like the new figured bass facility
although do not use it as a part of my work.
What I do like is that the digits are stack-able and can be entered as text. Is there a way to used this style in the case of fingerings? If it were a text based facility it would be much easier to use and would replace objects with text (although that may not be important).
Good work.
Comments
Figured bass has been improved recently and I just posted in Tech Preview declaring it officially finished.
This feature is specifically tailored on the needs of the historical figured bass usage (with a few extensions to cope with its usage in some kinds of harmonic analysis notation); so, I don't think it is usable for anything else, nor would it make sense to extend it to support other not-so-related usages.
However, the fingering feature already supports a similar way of working and I recurrently use it in that way:
Once a fingering is added, enter edit mode on it and and in-place text editor opens allowing to enter any text.
I use this for non-standard viol fingerings, like doigt couché, but I think it can be used for other particular cases as well, including several digits stacked with Enter.
Thanks again,
M.

Thanks Miwarre.
This should be added to the Handbook. I will try.
