Issue regarding Cleffs
So, here's the thing. Since MuseScore 2.1, I have been able to select instruments that sound an octave lower or higher than written and have a normal treble or bass clef appear on the staff with the sounding pitch being an octave lower or higher than written.
However, if I select a template, those same instruments automatically have the "8" symbol below or above the treble or bass clef and can not be set to play back at a transposed pitch after putting the normal clef in.
Is there a way how to select a template and then be able to play a transposed + or - an octave WITHOUT the clef with the "8" symbol?

Create yourself a template
To create your own template, simply set up a score the way you like then save it to your Templates folder. It will be available in the Create New Score wizard the next time you start MuseScore.

I forgot to mention, the template I selected was my own template that I created. It was a full orchestra template, in that case, the instruments affected were, the Double Bass, and the Piccolo.

Even more reason to just recreate that template, with the 'right' double bass and piccolo

I actually did create the template with right double bass and piccolo since I started from scratch. I basically saved it as a template and then opened it, then BAM, the "8" symbol existed below or above the clefs.

Then please share it here, so we can see, check and maybe fix
