Extend Piano roll editor
I don't know if it's already possible, seems not. On windows.
Would like to be able to add/remove a note from inside a piano roll editor. Also, change tone of a note (i.e. move the bar up/down by mouse), and the corresponding change would reflect in the sheet.
It also would be good to automatically scroll up/down to the middle of current part's tonality when the piano-roll window opens, so I do not have to scroll manually each time to find the bars.
Comments
I have used the pianoroll editor to set a spacing interval between notes, by shortening the preceding note. This is VERY tedious over a long passage since each note's duration must be individually modified, to a different fraction of 1000 depending on the note's duration: e.g., 950 for a half note, 900 for a quarter, 800 for an eighth, ~930 for a dotted quarter, etc.
It would be simpler to set the duration reduction as a given fraction of a beat (depending on the time signature) and apply it uniformly to all non-slurred/tied notes over a selection range of multiple measures (this functionality could even be moved out of the pianoroll editor).
