Character formatting lost on Copy/cut and paste
2.0.3 / 2.1 / Win 7/10
When you copy/cut and paste text, all character formatting is lost. For example, try cutting and pasting the text from one frame to another in the attached file. IMV, this operation should retain the character formatting.

When I tried Raymond's method, I copied the text, clicked the frame and changed the style to Text Line in the inspector, THEN pasted and the formatting remained. I would expect the the formatting to remain and the change in the inspector to be unnecessary.

So, to retain character formatting when copying frame text:
1. Click on the original frame text.
2. Do a standard copy or cut.
3. Click on a note, or another frame—text, vertical or horizontal.
4. Paste the clipboard.

What seems to be the case is that formatting is preserved when copying *an entire text object* - i.e., starting from normal as opposed to text edit mode. Formatting is lost when copying regions of text within a single text object while in text edit mode (even if that region happens to encompass the entire text object. At least, that's how it appears to me?
geetar now reported it in #228546: "Pseudo staff text" issue
