Rest
Hello,
My time signature is 3/4. However the rest that takes up one whole measure is a whole rest, and it does not seem like I can change it to a dotted half rest. Do I just leave it? Or is there some way to change it?

It is not a whole rest but a whole measure rest, they just look identical.
And you can turn it into a dotted half rest, by selecting it, then select half note, then the dot, from the icons in the menu on top
Conventionally empty bars have a whole note rest in them, but it is called a full bar rest.
Unless the time signature is based on half notes. In which case the full bar rest is a breve rest.
