Remove rest when entering notes spanning full stave

I'm writing an arrangement of the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy for the solo harp, and in the part before the climax there is a semiquaver sequence that spans the full stave.
I wrote the full part in the right-hand part and then pressed ctrl+shift+down key to move every other semiquaver to the left-hand part. However, the default rest is still there in the left hand part - how do I remove this?
