Chords on beats 1 and 3
I'm inputting a ton of guitar chord symbols now.
Is there a shortcut to moving from beat 1 to beat 3 of a 4 beat bar?
When I hit Tab, the cursor moves from from beat 1 to beat 1 of the next bar.
I have to click on beat three and then hit Ctrl-K.
TIA

You have only whole notes or rests in every bar so the cursor is following what you have told it. There is no way for it to know that you want it on beat 3. You will have to have an event (note/rest) on that beat.

Ah... but you have assumed I have only whole notes or rests.
I have set up a jazz template chart with four beats per bar.
Note heads have been substituted with slashes.
So 4 slashes (notes) per bar.
Correct that it doesn't know I want to move to beat 3 and not 2 or 4.
However in jazz, it is most common to have chords on beats 1 and 3.
I would settle for the cursor tabbing over to beats 1 and 3 by default and
if Ctrl is held down, move over just one bar at a time.
Sometimes we have chords on beats 1, 3 and 4. etc.
I still would like to know how to add paragraphs to my posts here on this forum. :)
All of my sentences are one big long paragraph.

As described in Chord name in the Handbook, the sace bar moves note by note or beat by beat. So you cam easily enter chords symbols on beat three even without entering notes first.
As for the forum, simply leaving a blank line works just fine to separate paragraphs, as I just did here.

Cool! That will be very helpful for all of my song entries (space bar) :)

You're right, I made an assumption, thinking you understood about using the space bar. I'm glad you got it sorted out.
I am curious, how were you moving the cursor when it was skipping bar to bar?

I was using the Tab key. :)

I saw 3 paragraphs. When I closed my response the last 2 had disappeared from your message???

OK I think I get it now.
The paragraphs are much more noticeable in the draft box that we type in than in the finished post.
This should be a paragraph now.
Third paragraph. The reason the last two paragraphs of my previous post disappeared is that I figured out what was happening and deleted them. :)
