Copy and paste in 5/4 not working as expected

I'm trying to build up a partial score from a number of separate parts. In the past, I've created a blank score, opened each part, and copied the notes over into the score. This has worked very well so far, but I've been working on scores in 3/4, 4/4 etc. I've just started working on a score in 5/4, and the parts aren't copying in as I would expect. There seems to be a problem with the whole bar rests, which appear to be adding invisible beats, which in turn push the following notes out of where they should be. All the measures I've checked say they are 5 beats long, but some appear to contain only 4 beats. I've also got some rests appearing in a rather odd way (see attached score). I started this score with the bass clarinet line, added the empty Bass Flute and English Horn lines then copied the parts in - as you can see, it's got rather messy! Everything seems to work as expected if I copy the notes in blocks without any full bar rests included. I've searched to try and find this topic, but can't see anything quite like - so sorry if it's been raised already.

Regarding the attachment, a common error is to forget to press the Attach button after selecting the file. I've done that myself more times than I care to remember.

When I loaded your score into 1.3 on my Windows system, it appears to be quite corrupt - stems and beams flying all over the place in addition to the issues with incorrect number of beats. And you are absolutely correct - this is the result of copy/paste gone bad, and specifically, copy and paste of empty measures in 5/4. It's a known bug, also applies to 7/4, 11/4, and I think any time signature where the length of the measure cannot be represented with a single duration value. My recollection was that this was fixed at some point in 1.X by simply disabling copy/paste in those cases, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It does appear fixed for real in the development builds for 2.0.

So meanwhile, assuming you don't have a backup from a time before the corruption appeared, I think you'll have to fully delete (Ctrl+Delete / Fn+Delete) the corrupt measures, insert new ones, and re-enter the music there. Then take care to avoid copying empty measures in this or other 5/4 pieces. Might take a bit of trial and error to figure out which are the problem - worst case, deleting the first 20 bars seems to do the trick.

Thanks for that - I suspected it was probably a known bug, but I couldn't find it. I've got backups of all the files thanks - I learnt that one a while ago ;-). I saved this file to show my problem. I've got round it by copying the files piecemeal, avoiding empty bars. I'll keep that in mind for future work - I think there's a deal more of these odd time signatures to come as I work my way through the Planets....
