Updated to musescore 2...where are my scores?

I now have nothing in my musescore library after the update. What could have happened?

I use a Mac. Is there an equivalent of a virtual disk? I have searched All My Files on my Mac Book. I do remember a question like: Do you want to replace musescore (old) with musescore (update)? To which I clicked: Yes. Does this mean it wiped out all of my scores?

Thanks for trying to help.

Don't worry, updating MuseScore *never* touches any of your scores. Anything you saved is still exactly where you put it. You just need to remember where that is. As mentioned, MuseScore 2 by default puts its scores somewhere different from where MuseScore 1 did, and it's looking for scores there. But once you remember what folder your scores are in, you can simply browse to that folder and open your old scores from there.

Not sure about how things are organized on Mac, but i'm guesisng there is something called a "Home" folder, and probably your scores are in there.

This has nothing to do with MuseScore and there is no such a thing as MuseScore Library. You just saved MuseScore files somewhere on your hard drive in a folder.

* On a mac, open Finder (the file explorer, with the smiling face).
* In the top right corner, you should see a search box.
* Type "mscz" (without the quotes) and you should see a menu below with "Kind" or 'Type" : MuseScore compressed file. * Click on it.
* On the left you should see a list of MuseScore files. Double click to open them in MuseScore or check the bottom of the dialog to see where they are located.
