How do I hide these certain measures?
I wanted to know how to create something like that one in the inserted photo. I really need to know it because I am working on scores that deal with that kind of layout.
Hoping someone can help me...

In the style menu select General... then check Hide empty staves and uncheck Don't hide empty staves if first system. You may need to put a line break from the break and spacers palette at the end of the first line to assure no vocal line is on the same staff as the piano.
