Musescore midi connect with Jack and USB to Midi cable interface using windows 7
I can not get the midi data to connect through either the Roland UM-one or the M Audio Sport UNO . I have followed the Musescore to Jack connection instructions and have that side of the S/W working just as described ( very nice instructions) . I have also gone to the Jack Windows 7 instructions and added 'Target' property: "C:\Program Files\Jack\jackd.exe" -R -S -d portaudio -d "ASIO::ASIO4ALL v2". But still no result.
I have confirmed through windows Device manager that when I plug in either cable separately , that they are functioning properly and are active in the device manager . ( also confirmed that both cables Midi in and out work , on an Apple system ) Can you suggest any other steps that would clear the problem ?

where the default Microsoft driver worked (wherever that may be found).

In reply to M Audio Uno driver problem? by Jm6stringer
I have moved the operating system to Windows XP and now have the USB to Midi cable successfully working with Windows media player ( playing a midi file to my keyboard ) . But, Musescore with Jack still does not work.
Jack just does not see the USB to Midi cable as a device , but I have confirmed that device manager does. I even tried to have Jack port out through MME Micro soft sound mapper ... no go ( I even tried direct port identification in the Jack Audio connect .. no go .
Any other suggestions ?
