Missing chord symbols in multiple voicing after copying and pasting
Hi. I would like to report an error found while I was editing a few bars of melodies and chords written in four parts/voicing.
I intend to transpose those bars to another key, so I first marked and copied them, and then pasted them to empty bars.
However, some chord symbols which are key-ined in part 3 and 4 are not pasted.
And, when I tried to recover these missing chord symbols by clicking and copying them with ctrl-c, after pasted with ctrl-v, they appeared to be in the color of the first voicing, which ought to be in voicing 3 and 4.
The following are the attached snapshots and the mscz file.
Please have a look. Many thanks.

It is preferable not to use 2,3,4 Voices in empty staves.
Use Selection Filter;
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/copy-and-paste#selection-filter
Select from start staff;
Highlight arrival staff: Edit / Voices ...
Exchange Voices 1-2;

Paste
What shoichi is trying to tell you is that you are confused about voices. Each staff (even each staff in a grand staff) can have up to 4 voices assigned to it. Every staff needs to have notes or visible rests in voice 1. You may want to make the occasional rests in voice 1 invisible (never a whole rest), but for the most part you will want voice 1 to be completely visible. If you add conflicting rhythms you can use additional voices. All voice 1 & 3 notes will default to stem up and voice 2 & 4 notes will default to stem down, unless there is only voice 1 notes in the measure, then the middle staff line (B or D) is the split between stems up and down.
Indeed, as others have said, you are using voices incorrectly. Both staves should start with voice 1 and go to 2 only as necessary - voices 3 & 4 would be used only very rarely for highly complex passages. The music you show in your picture only needed voice 1.
But in any case, when copying chords individually or in groups, it is deliberate that they go into voice 1, because that is where they should normally appear.
You mention a problem with copy and paste not copying the chord symbols, but I cannot reproduce any such problem. If you are still see that happen, please give us precise steps to reproduce the problem. But I tried the following and it worked perfectly:
1) select measure 1
2) copy (Ctrl+C)
3) append a measure to the end of the score (Ctrl+B)
4) click the new measure
5) paste (Ctrl+V)
Result: chord symbols are copied as expected. If you are finding otherwise, because you haven't inadvertently turned off "Chord Symbols" in the Selection Filter.
