Deleting Notes
I tried to delete a note, but it just changed the value of the note instead of disappearing.

Try the trombone 2 part deleting one of the first notes that are out of the instruments range.

Thanks. When I tried to delete the note before it just changed the value from dotted eighth or something like that, to just an eighth note

Presumably your hand inadvertently struck the "4" key instead of the "Del" key :-)

The del key on the number pad is also the dot key, depending in numlock, which toggles whether a note/rest is dotted or not.

So, if Numlock is on for this particular keyboard, you get one result, but if it is off, you get the other? Sounds like this is almost certainly what happened, then.

Exactly. Even if that key shoes a comma, at least on a German keyboard (we use comma to separate the decimals and dots to separate the thousands), it works like a dot. Or like Del, depending on numlock ;-)
