Can I disable multi-rests in parts?
I have an arrangement for 4 musicians.
Sometimes in the music I want a musician to take a solo. To do this, he needs to see the chords.
My problem occurs when I create parts from the score.
When Musescore sees 8 measures of rests it automatically creates multi measure rests. This means the soloist can no longer see the chords.
To make a score that can be used I have to click on the multi measure rests and disable them one bar at a time.
Is there a quicker way to do this?

See http://musescore.org/en/handbook/measure-rests#Multi-measure-rest, it should be possible to disable them entirely

My goodness.
You know, I had read that before, and had disabled multi measure rests on my full score, but didn't disable them on the parts that were created from the score.
Thank you for your help.
Sorted.

Multimeasure rests are disabled by default for the score but enabled by default for the parts. So you should not need to do anything special to disable them for the score - just for the parts.
But instead of using rests under chord symbols, consider using slash notation. Fill the measures with quarter notes, then use Note Properties to make them stemless and give them slashes for heads, and disable playback. Or use the Slash Notation Styles plugin (see Plugins menu at right of this page) to automate all of this, filling a selected region with slashes in just a few clicks.
