grrrr - can't find in Hanbook how to edit TAB notes
I hate the new (maybe 6-9 months) searching facility. I never can find anything, hence this rave.
I am trying to find in the Handbook how to edit a single note on a TAB staff. Also how to copyNpaste two tab notes to another time position. I have tried search using
tab
tab edit
tab note input
tabulature edit
While I am on a roll, why can't we simply see (right up front on a home page) a Handbook TOC and Index? Just like all proper reference documents are supposed to have.
tabulature input
I have not looked beyond the first page of search results.

do you mean this? https://musescore.org/en/handbook-notation/tablature TAB is short for Tablature.
What is wrong about https://musescore.org/en/handbook?
The PDF version too has a TOC
For some strange reason in English the word is Tablature (in German it is Tabulatur)

What is strange about the English and German spellings? German doesn't usually have silent e's.

I'm not wondering about the trailing e, but about the missing u, something the OP apparently too stumble accross when searching for Tabulature

I'm sure they're both from tabula. The English word table is from the same word and we dropped the u somewhere along the way.

jojo,
THX for the link. I had saved a link to older Handbook which did NOT go to Handbook anymore. Some sort of a general MuseScore page that let me search, BUT. everywhere. Hmmmm. I just threw it away, I cannot re-create.

See Enter notes in tablature.

geetar - that page is PERFECT, exactly what I was looking for. THX.
BUT why could I not find it by entering "TAB note edit" in the search box? These are the appropriate keywords.

I suspect the poor search results are due to the website continuing to be under development. The Sort feature for search does not seem to move the results around very much at the moment. Hopefully Thomas (the web master) plans to fix this at some point.

As mentioned in the past (https://musescore.org/en/node/194366#comment-706891), if the manual is correct, you can download the PDF and use Ctrl + F

The PDF manual is generated afresh every night, so should always reflect yesterday's online handbook.
And then this online handbook is also available as just one printer friendly page, including a table of contents

and use Ctrl + F to me seems more efficient
