Shortening Rests
Hello, I need some help, every time I create a song, I leave rests like this:
How can I make those rests into one rest that represents the time of those rests? There are many of them, and I don't have time to change everything every time I make a song. Is there anyway?

Normally, as you enter notes into the measure, MuseScore should leave a quarter rest instead of two eighth rests at the end. (Perhaps you did some cut/paste operations where you moved eighth notes around, thereby leaving eighth rests behind.)
In any event, to change the two eighth rests into a single quarter rest, click on the first one and then press
5 for quarter duration.
Regards.

Thanks jm6stringer, I do a lot of Copy and Paste operations, it just takes a long time to do everything because my songs are big.

In the future, change the rest before you copy. ;)
Indeed, it's best to simply enter the music correctly in the first place than to try to make mass corrections after the fact. That said, if you are done entering notes but have not entered much in the way of other markings, you can try Layout / Regroup Rhythms, which attempts to respell note and rest durations according to standard conventions. In the process, you are likely to lose marking attached to notes or rests that needed to be respelled, however, which is why this also is something you need to be running earlier rather than later in the process.
