Add parenthesēs around courtesy accidentals
It would be great if MuseScore had a functionality to automatically add parenthesēs around all courtesy accidentals and remove them from all others.
I know the .mscx file format already tracks which accidentals are courtesy, so this should be fairly easy. (I probably could write a shell script doing this for .mscx files, or perhaps something with xmlstarlet, but that’d not be accessible for the vast majority of users.)

I've never used it but it's supposed to add courtesy accidentals according to your rules including adding parentheses if you want them (which of course is why you might want to use this).

Thanks, but I do not want to add or remove any accidentals, only parenthesēs.

I understand that, but if you can set the rules for the accidentals to be the same as you use, you can tell the plugin to "add" the accidentals that are already there and put parentheses on them for you. There is no easy way to select only courtesy accidentals in MuseScore so I think this would be your most likely option to make it easy.

That could be a good feature no? Seems a lot more valuable than just a way to add parenthesis around those. They could be colored, made invisible, enlarged etc...

My rules for courtesy accidentals is “if it’s in the original score from IMSLP, or if I deem it helpful at that exact place”. But I can just search the .mscx for now.

As mirabilos says, my rule for courtesy accidentals is that I decide where they go. I got as far as the "courtesy plugin", but seem to need to install it before I can find out what "Set the rules" means. Can you explain briefly? Again, it is also deducible from the score whether an accidental is courtesy or not, so it should be possible to select them all, or to automatically add the required style.
