If you believe this to be a MsueScore problem, please attach the score you are having trouble and precise steps to reproduce the problem. Also say what OPS you are on, what version of MuseScore, and I guess anything you can tell us about your printer driver.
But I too suspect it will turn out to be a system problem, not a MuseScore problem - either that or perhaps the "a" is actually not a standard one but a similar-looking character that isn't supported by the font you are using.

Kyocera FS-C5015N doesn't print lower case "a".
I seriously doubt this to be a MuseScore problem.
You can try to export to PDF and then print that.
