D.C al Fine and voltas

• Nov 19, 2017 - 19:50

I have made a little dummy score to illustrate my problem. I want that at the first round it should play bars 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6. When repeating, it should start at the beginning and play bars 1 and 3. Then it should end. How to do this? I have tried different methods without success. Thank you in advance.

Thank you all. Of course I have read the handbook about repeats, but I did not understand how to use them in my case. Fortunately Jm6stringer solved it. Still I need advice about your solution. I don’t understand how did you put that coda bar inside of a horizontal frame.

Actually, it is 2 horizontal frames, and not the coda bar inside a single horizontal frame.
The first horizontal frame is inserted before the coda bar, the second is appended after the coda bar.
Normally, codas are shown with some distinction (e.g. small separation) from the rest of the score, so I inserted the first frame to provide some indentation for the coda's beginning.
The appended frame adjusts the measure's stretch across the page, but may not be necessary if the coda has more than one bar in the 'real' score. After all, this is a 'dummy' score, and only a representation of the relevant repeat/jumps scenario.

Regards.
