xml. files not showing up
So I have recently started using the free trial of Finale. I made a piece within it that I like, in fact, a couple. The problem is, I only have a free trial. So I wanted to move them to Musescore, where I can keep and edit it later. The only problem is, Finale saved them in xml, and Musescore, for some reason, is not picking up on it. I even tried MIDI, but that just went to complete crap! I don't want to have to restart these pieces, with or without them to see.

Finale exports MusicXML 3.1 (beta), and with a .musicxml extension, MuseScore imports MusicXML 3.0 and with a .xml extension.
Rename the files to .xml and on import in MuseScore chose "Ignore" on the warning/error dialog.
We're almost at the point to support MusicXML 3.1 and the .musicxml extension, in the next version, see #235526: [MusicXML] support MusicXML 3.1 and #235516: [MusicXML] support .musicxml file extension and the corresponding pull requests https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/3254 and https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/3253
Attached the result of an XML import in MuseScore (no warning showed), only renaming them to have a .xml extension.
