Windows Fall Creators Update causes MuseScore not to start anymore but hangup with "Preparing to install"

If you install the Windows Fall Creators update (a major update that has version number 1709) it can happen that starting MuseScore leads to 'Preparing to install' and the message keeps frozen... "Windows Installer" -- Preparing Installation. Only way to quit then is via task manager.
This issue is linked to the Yamaha USB driver. It can be solved by downloading the latest driver from the Steinberg website, uninstall the old driver and install the new driver.
Installing the new driver should be done after the Windows update ! (or you will have to uninstall and reinstall it).

I reckon you set the issue to "fixed" inadvertently?
