Noteworthy Composer File Conversion
Hi
I have a score in an old version of Noteworthy Composer, so its an nwc file not an nwctxt file. I would really like to get this into a musescore readable file so I can work on it as I do not have Noteworthy Composer (other than the demo version which will not save anything, and the viewer). It currently runs to over 1200 bars with 8 or 9 staves so would be very hard to cut up into pages to try and convert via individual page pdfs. Can anyone help? Does anyone have a copy of Noteworthy Composer and could carry out the file conversion for me, or know of a converter that will do nwc to musescore or musicxml files? Thanks
John

Thanks for your reply. I have tried this but it needs to be an nwctxt file i.e. created in a newer version of Noteworthy Composer so it will not work.

What version of Noteworthy do you have?
Shoichi's link states:
The converter now supports NWC files as well, if they have been created with Noteworthy Composer 2.75.

I only have the current demo and viewer. I think the score was created well over 10 years ago, so I'm guessing pre NWC2.75.

Hi
not trying to be secretive. In short, I found someone to convert it for me. It might have been Laconic or someone from an NWC forum but I can't find the email or message, sadly, because they did me a great favour.

Oh, there you go, found it. It was Lasconic who helped me. Here is the relevent bit of his message. The tulltaab file is the one I wanted to convert. Hope this helps.
"Anyway I downloaded https://nwc-scriptorium.org/db/rock/tulltaab.html, converted it in NWCTXT and run nwc2musicxml on it. It's a huge file so it doesn't work on the webservice https://nwc2musicxml.appspot.com/, so I ran it locally.
I got a MusicXML file back and opened it in MuseScore and save as MSCZ. Find the result attached. I hope it will be useful !
It's huge so I would advice to create a new score in MuseScore with the set of instruments you want and copy paste from the converted file."
