entering different voices
What is the easiest way to enter the different voices in the piano part? I had thought of
click voice 1 - enter all the voice 1 notes
go back to the beginning
click voice 2 enter all the voice 2 notes
and so on
but I can't do the magic. What should I be doing?

That is the method I would normally use. All of voice 1, then voice 2...
When I'm ready to enter voice 2 notes, I click the measure where I want to start voice 2, press N for note input mode then select voice 2. Basically to enter notes in a voice besides 1, you need to be in note input mode prior to changing voices.

I attach a file with one bar in voice 1. I want to add this pattern
in voice 2
5g nil 5.c# nil
then in voice 3
5d nil 5.g nil
I say nil because I really want nil. Muse Sore tends to put in rests

You can delete rests from voices other than 1, or you can hide them but you meet to enter them first to get to the note after

Is there a reason why you are trying to use three voices here when it seems one would suffice? If you want to add a G & D to the first quarter note, simply add them to the existing chord, no need for a separate voice or hidden rests or anything like that. Multiple voices are needed only for independent lines, not to create chords.
Anyhow, based on your original description, it should certainly work to enter voices one at a time. Be sure to read the Handbook about "Voices". A common mistake is to select the voice before entering note input mode rather than after.

Many thanks, Marc. You are quite right. As you say the piano part is written in chords, so I can enter them as chords. No need for voices at all.
