LocalManual
I noticed that (on a Mac) once I copy (install) MuseScore onto my hard drive and launch it, the "localManual" will not launch from the help menu.

Does it give an error message? What does the error message say?
Can anyone else confirm this (I'm on Windows).

I can't reproduce this one.
Hi jmailman,
Do you run MuseScore as administrator or via a normal user account? I ask because we had already a similar bug which is fixed in the trunk but not yet available in the prereleases.
In reply to Running as ... by Thomas
I've run MuseScore 0.9.5 both ways on MacOX 10.4.11. My point was that when I am logged in as a normal user (non-adminstrator) I cannot save documents. Rather, each time I have to "save as". I was able to get around this by logging in as an administrator. (Actually I already explained this in my very first posting on this issue.) I'm glad the problem is solved or is being worked on---big fan of MuseScore I am.

I just realized that my original post on this topic is in a completely different thread.
The problem with the LocalManual (not opening when requested from the menu) happens when I'm logged in as an administrator (haven't tried it as a user).

I just open it from the desktop shortcut. The little drummer comes on for a few seconds when I click local manual. Then nothing.

In the fix of this bug, I didn't do anything for mac. The fix is windows specific. Any mac user can confirm that Help -> Local is working ?
(It does for me on mac intel 10.5.8, MuseScore 0.9.6)

I can confirm that 0.9.6 on Intel Mac 10.4.11, the local help works without any problems. I do use an admin account.

Sorry I have to confirm the opposite. Neither the PDF opens nor any error message.
No big deal, I open it via an alias, but as a new user of MuseScore it was confusing that nothing happens. The three dots in the menu command made me expect a dialog window.

It might be the location of the PDF - I think I had problems with that once.

I didn't move the PDF, it's still located at:

Together with the PDFs in 16 other languages.
