Sound but no note entry in note entry mode
Wanted to ask fellow MacOS users if they find they need to fiddle with their settings everytime they use MuseScore just to get rolling?
I get sound but when I enter note entry mode I get nothing. This happens every time I open MS to work on something. It's driving me nuts. I take trips to Audio Midi settings, midi entry is working. Midi input in MS is enabled. (I hear sound so neither of the previous checks really mean much because it's note entry mode that isn't working).
It never seems to go into note entry mode properly. Seems like there's either something I continue to miss or that there's a bug that's unreported. I continually fiddle trying anything I can think of and eventually it starts working mysteriously.

I also wanted to add that I frequently swap USB ports as well and neither makes a difference. If I am getting sound when I test using Apple's Audio Midi Setup then it means that midi is getting into the computer through the USB port so MS should work.
Ok I figured it out. Hopefully I will finally remember this. The error in my ways was not restarting MuseScore after a trip to the i/o panel. In the past I have made the change and then eventually restarted MS and it worked. Not so mysteriously as I might have guessed. If I had remembered that I needed to restart MS after changes in the i/o panel under prefs it wouldn't have been such a mystery.
Sorry for the waste of bandwidth and forum clutter but maybe this will help someone else in the future.

Jojo, Please read the section on Protanopia on this page:

There are some color picture examples too, which you'll likely be able to distinguish. Unfortunately I can't.

Well, still the text is there, or can't you see it at all? Like secret invisible ink?
Any good idea which color to use instead?
