Sostenuto Pedal playback
Is it possible to incorporate the effects of the sostenuto (middle) pedal on the piano onto MuseScore in such a way that you can hear it on playback? If so, please tell me how to do so. If not, please add it ASAP!! I need it for an arrangement I have in my head of What's New, Pussycat?.

Since the middle pedal is not normally notated, the musician uses it as needed to play what is written on the page. I believe the improved playback expected in version 2.2 will be an improvement. You can test it by downloading the lastest nightly at https://musescore.org/en/download#Development-builds

Well, this arrangement uses the middle pedal extensively, throughout the entire song. So I need to be able to get it on paper (so to speak) and be able to hear it on playback. Please, how do I do that?

You can get to appear on the score using either the lines from the palette (with appropriate adjustments in Line Properties) or via Symbols (press "Z" to display) or text (eg staff text - Ctrl+T) or any other method you like. But MuseScore does not provide that sort of fine detail on the playback.
