Can't update piano sound
I wish to update my score with the previous FluidR3Mono_GM.sf3, since I don't like the newest piano sound (MuseScore_General.sf3). I have installed the Fluid, and gone to Synthesizer-Fluid-FluidR3Mono_GM.sf3. When I work with the project file in MuseScore, everything seems fine. The problem is that whenever I update my score with the FluidR3Mono_GM.sf3, the same MuseScore_General-sf3 piano sound comes out of the speakers. What am I missing here?

You men when you update/upload to musescore.com? If so: you need to also upload the audio. In order to be able to do that, you need to be able to export to MP§, which MuseScore 2.2 has embedded, but for WIndows only,, so if you're on a Mac, you'd need to install the lam lib mentioned in https://musescore.org/en/handbook/file-formats#mp3.
Then on upload just tick the box 'Upload score audio', see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/share-scores-online#direct, step 6

Yes, I mean when I update the score. I have now done what you wrote, and imported the lam lib and renamed it to libmp3lame.dylib
I changed the bitrate to 64, but can't find the "Upload score audio" box.

So you're apparently on a Mac. Can you export a score to MP3 now?
If you try the first time MuseScore should ask you to locate the lame lib,

Yes, I use Mac. And MuseScore 2.2. I successfully exported the score to .mp3. When I listen, I get the sound I want. What do I do next? MuseScore didn't ask for the location for the lame lib.

It's in the File / Save Online dialog box within MuseScore - you won't see it if you start the update from musescore.com.

I checked the box with "Upload score audio", and everything worked fine. I saved the project, but when I listen to the online version it plays with the "wrong" piano sound. There must be something I'm missing here...

Have you already tried to save online via MuseScore under a different name e.g. 'Welcome to the Jungle2'?
But perhaps today is a special day for MsS.com. There is a multi-hour interval between loaded scores and some doubt about the calendar in use

Yes, I saved Welcome... online after I checked the audio box and saved as .mp3. I deleted it right after I heard it, as it still had the new piano sound attached.

When I check the synthesizer it works fine. But I want the piano sound to be saved along with the score.

Hi, I have exactly the same issue (but I'm on windows), did you solve it?

You changed your soundfont to whatever your favorite is, you used File / Save Online, you checked the "Upload score audio" box, but when you later visited your score on msuescore.com, it still had the old sound? Can you post a link to the score?
In reply to You changed your soundfont… by Marc Sabatella
Yes, that's the problem. Here it is
https://musescore.com/user/26573076/scores/5084269/s/I1KLcp
This is the first time I use a soundfont different from the default, so maybe I'm missing something.
Another detail is that I uploaded it the first time with the previous version of musescore, then I installed the new version, then I updated the score online, then I downloaded the old soundfonts, I select them in the synthetizer, I updated the score online again checking the "Upload score audio" box.
One thing I noted is there was not success message after that... So I changed the description to see if it was updated, and it was ok, but the sound not.
Anyway I will listen to it from a different device maybe it's just my laptop... And also I will try deleting it first.

What issue? You can't upload the score audio, regardless of using a non-default soundfont?
And you are on MuseScore 2.2.1?

Yes, that's the problem, I'm on Musescore 2.2.1. I tried again and didn't work.

2.2.1 on Windoes has the LAME dll built in, so can export to MP3. So the only other pre-requisite to uload the score audion is now the use of a non-default soundfont.
So what SoundFont does your Synthisizer list in the the Fluid tab?

It lists only the FluidR3Mono_GM2-315.SF2, and that is the correct.

OK, so that is not the default soundfont. So you should see that "Upload score audio" box and check it, and it should generated and upload the score audio.

I did it, but didn't work. I think maybe there is a crash, because the exporting shows 100% completed, but the uploading only achieves 5% and then the message disappears, and after that it doesn't show a success message (neither an error message).
Is there a log of the app?

Ah, OK, there is a yet unresolved issue with audio upload which only affects some, but not all users, and so far the developers haven't been able to reproduce it, see #197716: Audio file will not upload

Ok, I see.. I think I will install Musescore on linux and see what happens, because I was reading and it seems all users where using windows 10 (me too).
Could you please test the latest (not public) minor release to check whether the issue has been solved for you? (https://musescore.org/en/node/274378)
