Lyrics
I'm trying to add lyrics into my composed song, but it won't let me add them unless they are directly under/paired with a note. How can i fix this? The lyrics start on a rest in a blank measure, but it won't let me add lyrics into that space. How do you do so?

Lyrics are usually directly attached to notes. You can either offset the horizontal position of the lyric or insert a note in a different voice and make it invisible and non-playing and attach the lyric to it.
Or enter the lyrics as staff text and in the inspector change the type to lyrics (Odd or even lines).
