Adding an accent / sfortzato to a buzz roll changes the sound to a 'hit'.
With MDL installed, 0.2.6 XML, adding an accent (Sfortzato) to a note intended to be a buzz roll - added via the tremolo palette - the sound changes from a buzzed note to a regular 'hit' note.
Happens on snare line, tenor line and bass line.
Steps to reproduce. On any instrument above, create a hit note of any duration. Add a buzz roll to it via the trem palette. Listen.
Add an accent to the same note. Listen to compare.
Remove the accent. Listen to compare.

pardon my ignorance, but what is 0.2.6 XML?
Check out the latest nightly build and then install the latest MDL package through the Resource Manager - https://musescore.org/en/node/273636
There have been major updates since the 0.2.6 that you have. See if this issue is still present.

Hey @Jojo-Schmitz, prior to the RC1 build for 2.3, there were builds of MDL that were numbered 0.X.X and the instruments.xml file for these were named mdl_0.X.X.xml.

Will do. Had the latest build, but didn't install MDL that way.
Same result:
OS: OS X 10.13, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 2.3.0, revision: 7b344ed
MDL 0.15 installed via resource manager.
No 2nd Instrument XML
Still the case with the released 2.3 and the latest MDL?
This is the intended behavior of the current implementation. It sounds like it's not the best. So let's see.
The current behavior is as follow, you can replace staccato with one or more of the articulations from the list here: https://musescore.org/en/node/272276#comment-835992
What behavior do we want in all these cases ?
note = tremolo + staccato
note = tremolo
note = staccato
note = nothing
