Articulation Feature?
Hi all,
The latest update for MuseScore is particularly exciting in that assigning a specific sample to a specific articulation is now possible, drastically opening the world of expression to playback. I'm super excited to use this feature, but can't figure out how it's done. Has anybody experimented with this yet, and might know how to do it?
Thank you!

There is currently no user interface for it. You'll have to edit your instruments.xml (or score.mscx if it has already been created) manually.
See https://musescore.org/en/node/272276#comment-835433 (and following) for minimal documentation on how this works. You can also have a peek at the instruments.xml that comes with the MDL extension; which uses this feature.
It probably only works well for drumsets currently, as the articulation triggers a different MIDI-pitch on the same instrument.

And they rely on the associated SFZ sound fonts that were recorded to allow for the different articulation sounds.
