Old style bass clef

• Jul 14, 2018 - 21:49

This is a purely cosmetic request. I'm a fan of the old style of bass clef. Here's a link to what I'm talking about:

It would be nice to be able to select this as the bass clef used in my scores in Musescore.

I would like to have custom clefs available to avoid needing to work around on every staff. Either, let the user only replace existing clefs with another symbol, or assign a symbol and then define where middle C is.

It's in the font? I went looking and I can't even find the fonts for MuseScore in my computer. They're not with the other ones. At any rate, I think this could be added to the clef palette easily, and that's where it should be. I've used symbols from the Master Palette a few times, and it's always clunky and often non-functional. This form of the bass clef isn't uncommon in some contexts, and I can't believe it'd be used less than the sub-bass clef, the alternate baritone clef (which is an F clef on the 3rd line), or the 15mb bass clef.

No it doesn't. It only has the following ones

noteheadDoubleWholeAlt, // double whole with double side bars
fourStringTabClefSerif, // TAB clef in script style
sixStringTabClefSerif, // TAB clef in script style
cClefFrench,
cClefFrench20C,
fClefFrench,
fClef19thCentury,
braceSmall,
braceLarge,
braceLarger,

For example, you can see the fClef19thCentury in the clef palette in the master palette but not in the symbol palette.
