DC won't then jump to second time bar needed to then jump to Coda

I am arranging a song which has various repeats. The first time through it jumps nicely from the First time bar (bar 9) to the music which follows (bar 11). There is a DC at the end which takes it back to the beginning ok. But on this replaying there is a second time bar (bar 10) which should then make it jump on to the coda (bar 27). But it refuses to play this second time bar at all! And on the second playing it just behaves as for the first playing so it ends up going round and round! What am I doing wrong?
