Parethetical time signature
I'm somewhat confused about how to make a time signature in parenthesis, like the one in the following famous Brubeck example:

An approaching result can be achieved with regular time signatures. But there are a lot of settings, and it takes time.
Much easier and recommended (and more "compact" display) is to use an image, by composing this image with Special Characters, + parenthesis, then Image Capture tool.
You must use only a setting "Leading space", Segment section, in Inspector, to add space between the first note and the 9/8 time signature.
You can save and reuse this image for your score.
