Palette details not displaying correctly
Hi
I've installed Musescore on an Asus eee netbook running Peppermint 5.
The problem is as described. The details of the palette submenus do not display. Screen shot attached.
I had the same problem when I installed the software on the same machine running Peppermint 3 last year but never got round to doing anything about it. It runs fine on my desktop machine (Peppermint 4), so I'm guessing it's related to the monitor resolution on the netbook.
I'd be grateful for any help you kind folks could provide.
Many thanks

is the screen resolution. On the PC I can resize the window of the program and obtain the conditions shown in your picture.
try out:
Close MuseScore Connect;
Open a palette;
Position the pointer over the edge and enlarge

Thanks for the suggestion. The problem is that I can only enlarge the palette horizontally by dragging, not vertically. And I can't see enough of the symbols vertically to work out what to click.
I've tried adjusting scaling and height in palette properties.
Any other ideas?

Have you tried undocking the palette?
Just grab it at the top and drag it away from its docked position.

Great! Thank you. This helps a lot.

...should enable you to enlarge the palette by dragging it in both the horizontal and vertical directions. Specifically, you can expand the undocked palette vertically into the toolbar and menu area. Then you will be able to see more of the palette symbols.
Alternatively, if you don't want to undock and/or cover the toolbar/menus, try this:
In your attached 'Windsurfer.png' file, I see the Clefs, Key Signatures and Time Signatures palettes are expanded. If you only use one at a time, it will allow more room for individual display.
Also, you can free up even more room by deleting unused palettes.
For example, suppose you never use 'Breath and Pauses'. Click and hold on the palette name (e.g. 'Breath and Pauses') until the submenu appears where you can delete that particular palette. This will free up vertical space so you can "see enough of the symbols vertically to work out what to click."
Regards.

... as mentioned above undocking the palette makes a big difference.
And deleting a couple of the palettes I don't expect to use also also makes it much clearer.
As a long term Sibelius user I'm sure I'll be back for more help in the near future. :-) But this has solved my current problem. Thanks again.
