Text Type Converter

I would like to see a utility (maybe under edit>>tools for converting text from one type to another. Changing text styles is easy (thank you) but the actual type does not change. For instance, changing Staff Text to Chord Symbol changes the appearance, but the symbol is unaffected by a transpose operation. This capability would be very useful when converting between musical applications which don't have the same text types available.
