Midi keyboard

Hello everyone,
I connect the midi keyboard and configure it.
I create two tracks, a flute and a cello.
I write the notes for the flute.
Question, if I run with the play button, so I hear the notes of the flute, can I play and hear the part of the cello together with the flute via midi keyboard?
That is what all the other notation sw and daw do without problems.
