Removing MuseScore for New Download
Hi: I'm NOT a computer expert. I'm pretty sure that recent problems of crashing, etc. necessitate a NEW download of this wonderful software. I have extensive .mscz files and don't want to lose anything. If I delete my MuseScore file (about 159MB) from my Applications Library, is that all that's required to prepare for a brand new download of the software? Thank you! JHJ

It's very unlikely that reinstalling MuseScire would help.
Which version of MuseScore are you using? Which operating system are you using?

Downgrade to 1.2 might help though, if it is Mavericks, he seems to be on Mac, see also http://musescore.org/en/node/27701

Hope that helps.

Assuming your OS X version is Mavericks, there are indeed known issues with MuseScore 1.3 and uninstalling then installing 1.2 may work around them.

Just delete the Application Library or is there more to it than that?
It would help to say what OS you are using, and what version of MuseScore. On Windows, you'd use the standard Windows Add / Remove Programs facility.

Sorry, I should have included that in my earlier message.

Which version of OS X?
If it is 10.9 it doesn't play nice with Qt, the library on which MuseScore is dependent.
