Right click a lyric, choose select>all similar items and press delete.

This worked. Thanks so much.
Or to delete lyrics from just the selected measures, first select the measures, then right-click one lyric, Select / All Similar Elements in Range Selection. Other options exist to make other selections, but that's the basic idea.
