When I insert measures into the middle of my score in continuous view, it puts in the key signature again and I'm unable to delete it. I'm using the control+Ins. shortcut on my keyboard.

See #279925: Permanent courtesy time sig and key sig before system/page break when toggling in Continuous View and/or Parts
Maybe duplicate or just related, not sure
Ok, I saw this file on you another thread: https://musescore.org/en/node/279909
I can reproduce on your score and from scratch. More details soon (related issue/another aspect I guess of https://musescore.org/en/node/279938#comment-877735).
Involving breaks, courtesy key sig/time sig, and switch in continuous view.
In reply to I cannot reproduce from… by cadiz1
Steps:
1) Treble clef template, and A key signature (three sharps)
2) Add system break in measure 4
3) Toggle in Continuous View
4) Select the measure immediately after the system break (ie measure 5)
5) Insert one measure
Result: courtesy key signature appears
See:
This is essentially the same as #279609: Inserting measure before measure previously at start of system displays spurious key signature but I'll leave this open as well to be sure both page & continuous view are covered.
Here's my score. I hadn't seen this (#279609: Inserting measure before measure previously at start of system displays spurious key signature) before I created the issue, so it's essentially the same thing.
