OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.0.4466, revision: 6880a0d
Open the attached file. The vertical positioning of R H Guitar FIngering in measures 5-6 and 9 needs adjusting to be nearer to the beam. The beam-to-fingering distance at letter "B" looks fine.

My PR https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/4591 addresses this, but not necessarily in the way requested. The inconsistencies were bugs, but the rule I am following is that RH fingerings should be clear of the staff in general. Only unbeamed notes with multiple voices will be allowed to have the fingerings "tight" (close to the notehead and on staff). This is what I gleaned as the overall consensus from Gould and the literature, but it's open to further discussion.
