Can't Write Ties And Bb7 Chord Spells Out Bwith a box?
Hi
I am new to musescore and new here too
Having problems adding a simple tie to two notes across bars. Followed the instructions from the manual but no can do :(
Also I write out chord symbols and the only problem so far is B b 7 comes out as B with a box symbol with no way to correct it.
Can someone help?

For tie s have you tried both methods? The second is for when you are in note entry mode.
With regards to chord symbols, what version of MuseScore are you using? What operating system?
In order to get a better answer please read [[nodetitle:How to report bug or ask for support]] and describe what you are doing currently step-by-step.

Hi David
thank you for replying. I tried the second in not entry mode, I use shift to get to the + on my kepyboard, but it does not work.
The first method just does not work at all, including the suggestions on how to use it for earlier musescore versions.
The version I downloaded is for Mac, it is the 0.9.5
I am using a macbook.
Does that help?

The plus sign seems to be the one of the numpad. Press F6 to enable the numpad.
The shortcut can be changed in Preferences->Shortcuts. If you have a better suggestion for default...
You can also use the + sign in the toolbar.

For me both the plus sign on the main keyboard and the plus sign on the number pad work. Is this a difference between Mac and Windows versions?
For what it is worth I have to press shift to get the plus sign also.
