Saving a Tab stave
I have a tab stave for a long scale English Guittar, linked to a standard guitar stave. How do I save the pair of staves, or just the tab stave? Thanks in advance.

I'm just an American that doesn't have a clue what you mean about a long scale English Guittar. Perhaps you can explain better what you are trying to do, or attach the score if possible.

Score attached. I have defined the instrument and its tuning in Musescore. But I cannot find a way to save or add this instrument to the list of plucked instruments. Hope this is clearer.

So you want that instrument being available when creating a new score?
So you'd either need a modified system instruments.xml, or an added instruments.xml, or, the easiest option, store the score in your templates folder and create new scores from that template

You can also put in a feature request (S5-Suggestion) to add it to version 3.0.1 when it comes out. You do that at https://musescore.org/en/node/add/project_issue?pid=1236
