Note Names Plugin in MuseScore 3 Not Working
Hi all, I've been using the Note Names plugin in previous versions of MuseScore for years. I just d'loaded MuseScore 3 today and went to the Plugin Mgr and added notenames. It appears in the Plugins menu options as expected, but I can't get it to work. I highlight a range of measures and select Note Names, but nothing changes.
Is this a known MuseScore 3 bug or am I missing something :-)
Thanks!

There is an issue open about broken plugins. It is being worked on. Are you trying to put the note names on the noteheads?

I'd be ok with it on the noteheads or the old style of notename I'm used to which places them just above the staff. Good to know it's a known issue though...I'll just stick with Musescore 2 for now :-)
Thanks

In version 3 there is the option built in to change the noteheads to note names. For each staff, right click the staff, select staff/part properties, click the Advanced Style Properties and choose the proper note heads from the list.

Got it. Noteheads are nice in that they don't get overwritten by the actual notes like the notename plugin does, but they're so tiny I can't even read them! I think I'm going to stick with the MuseScore 2 notename until it gets sorted out in MuseScore 3.
Thanks for the help :-)

You're welcome. Feel free to ask more questions and keep an eye out for new version 3 releases. I don't see plugins being fixed in the first update in the next couple of weeks, but they were identified as a high priority.

Thanks for your answer. I was wondering about the same thing and now I got it fixed.
