Project
here how to reproduce
1.Create string quartet score
2.Create parts (file—>part...)
3.Make some music
4.Add “Staff Text” name “Pizz.”
5.Choose one of the “part score”
6.select “Pizz.”, right clicking and select “Staff Text Propaties”
7.select “voice1” and Channel to “Pizzicato”
Result: sound doesn’t change to Pizzicato in Parts nor in full score.
It works when change it from full score though.
I’m not surprise if this is on purpose, but would be very useful if it works from Part !
BTW ver 2.x can change to “Pizzicato” from Part, but it doesn’t affect to full score.

Comments
steps 6 and 7 should not be needed, it should be set to that already
And it is, Adding pizz. to score dues set voice one of violin (and other strings) to pizzicato in score and parts.
At least it in 3.0.1 and the latest development build
You'd have to use the pizz. from the text palette though, 'normal' staff text doesn't seem to propagate that channel setting between score and parts

Hello Jojo
Appreciate answering so quick always :)
So, my bad understanding English though,
Normal staff text doesn't work for Pizzicato (or tremolo), but instead of this, using "pizz." from text palette for the moment right?
And indeed, it works! both in full score and parts Thank you so much !
One thing I found, this "Pizz" sound cannot change to "normal" from part score via right clicking--> Staff text properties. stay Pizz. Can change it from full score.
Same issue, changes to stafftext properties are not synced.
Use the arco text
In reply to Use the arco text then by Jojo-Schmitz
umm, "arco" is not working after pizz. in part score.. stay pizz.
It should, in a score created with MuseScore 3.0(.1) (but indeed not before)
Ah, it does not for the templates, so there's work to be done!

Hi jojo
I tested the nightly build! wow, so quick.
So you fixed "able to change Pizzicato to Arco in Part score" right?
Thank you so much!
that was the plan at least ;-) I fixed the templates to match what a score created from scratch using those instruments would have gotten, so these new texts can do their work.
Manually applying staff text, and then change their properties, is still not synched between score and part though

AH, I got it.
ver 3.x, "Arco" "Pizzicato" "Tremolo" are added in text palette.
So, I think "Manually applying staff text" is not needed anymore isn't it.
right
